About
Rice and soy sauce are considered the staple food of the chinese. Aside from kung fu and slant eyes, I don’t think there’s any stereotype more popularly associated with the culture. For many rice and soy sauce is the essential foundation for every meal because of it’s abundance and wide range of recipe uses. For others, it’s the cheapest way to fill your belly. That’s what I’m all about. When it comes to cooking, I just absolutely hate spending more than 5 minutes preparing a meal. I like meals that are ready right after I pull out my bowl, chopsticks and medium-sized Ikea glass.
The point of this blog doesn’t really have anything to do with rice & soy sauce, but rather the idea of just filling your stomach without putting a hole in your wallet. Now some of you are thinking, “That’s not hard to do. I can get two cheeseburgers and an order of small fries for $3 at McDonalds.” True, but I’m not down to be obese and die before seeing my grandchildren. For the past year, I’ve been working on developing my own perfect balance of meals to stay fit.
